Our SEO team is competing in a series of challenges to win a trip to the upcoming MozCon conference in Seattle. Each project, contest, task and quiz in the competition provides an opportunity to win “SEO bucks,” and we’ll be sending the richest three team members to the conference in July.

Challenge #1:

Write an SEO haiku. The top three will receive $100 (SEO bucks), one entry per person, and it must be in proper haiku format.

What did our SEO team have to say in exactly 17 syllables and 3 lines of copy? Here are the winning entries:

Noah:

Twitter and Facebook
likes, shares, and tweets Google counts;
But to what amount?

Edwin:

When we go looking
For keywords we want today
What would grandma type?

Sean:

Duplicate content?
‹canonical URL›
Let the link juice flow.

Lisa:

Google my Google,
Wont you tell me your secrets,
So I can be rich.

Brandon:

my site needs a boost
and I’m thirsty for rankings
pass the link juice please

it’s friday Friday
partyin’ partyin’ yea
