Job Description:

As a VP of BD at Clearlink, you will lead a team of Business Development Executives as they evaluate partnerships and acquisitions in order to continue the growth of the company. As a team leader, you must be clear about the results you expect and devise strategy to achieve them by providing the necessary guidance to other members of the team. You must be able to establish the scope and needs of a given business development project- including establishing the resources required in terms of manpower and finances, estimating timelines for completion, and handling challenges. You must be able to communicate these details to other team members to streamline operations. To be successful in this position, you must have outstanding business acumen, excellent analytical abilities, superior written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to identify trends and make compelling business arguments.

Responsibilities 

  • Recruit and train people who can bring innovation to business development projects
  • Create an atmosphere for the team that allows team members to brainstorm ideas and develop new concepts 
  • Ensure realistic attainment of project goals and objectives
  • Set revenue goals and enact marketing strategies that enhance product sales
  • Establish strong relationships with customers by coordinating efforts between them and your team members
  • Devise metrics to gauge both customer satisfaction and team members’ success
  • Ability to report project outlines to senior management 
  • Research market data and utilize internal & external tools to provide meaningful, accurate, and informative data analysis for business development efforts
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of Clearlink’s capabilities and services as well as the existing and future needs of the customer to create high-value proposals focused on delivering the desired outcomes
  • Conduct research to identify new leads and potential markets
  • Identify gaps in existing processes and procedures and effectively recommend and drive improvements 
  • Maintain an active pipeline of forecast sales and accurate, detailed reporting
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets 
  • Effectively pitch Clearlink’s products and services 
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and further Clearlink’s internal solution business by understanding their needs and business objectives
  • Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers in prospect organizations
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise level sales experience
  • Demonstrated presentation, reporting, and CRM skills
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with senior executives and maintain good business relationships with both internal and external clients & resources
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment and to demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems/opportunities and recommending an approach to solutions
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment 
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Digital marketing experience preferred
  • Data analysis experience preferred 
  • Strong technical knowledge and IT fluency
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
  • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
